Basics of using blogger and blogger dashboard.

Welcome in Infopioneer, in this post I’m going to describe the basics of blogger, how to use blogger dashboard, how many functions blogger have, what each function do and so on. So lets start.

Sign in and sign out with blogger.

  • First of all you have to sign in before using blogger, so go to blogger.com and enter your ID and Password in the textboxes as in snapshot.

  • You can sign out from blogger by clicking on sign out as in snapshot. blogger sign out

Using Blogger Dashboard.

This is blogger dashboard, it has lot of features like you can make a new blog, you can go to many tabs of your existing blog from dashboard, it has a button of new post to make a new post, you can see your profile at the left side and can access you account from here easily.

Using posting tab from Blogger dashboard.

blogger Post New editorThis is a snapshot of new post editor of blogger.
When you want to make a new post in blogger you have to go to posting tab from your dashboard by clicking on new post button. You can enter the title and post data in editor and other many more features by this new post editor. You can see a sub tab under posting tab. Some important features of posting tab are discussed under as.

New post: You can access your post editor and can make your new post by this feature.

Edit posts: You can edit your existing posts and can remove and give them a label by this feature.

Edit pages: It’s a new feature this enables you to make pages like contract us, About us and TOS pages. You can make 10 pages for each blog by this new feature and can edit them.

Comment Moderation: If you have enabled comment moderation, you can moderate your comments directly from comment moderation sub tab.

Setting tab from blogger dashboard to edit your blog settings.

Setting tab is very important in blogger platform. It enables you to change and edit your blog settings and important features.

You can see sub tabs under setting tab. Important features of blogger setting tab and its sub tabs are given below.

Basic: In this tab you can enter and change your blog title and description and can add your blog in blog directory by some features like add blog in our listing.

Publishing: you can change you blog domain name and assign it to custom domain from this sub tab.

Formatting: This enables you to change blog text colors, background and font.

Comments: The comment options are present in this sub tab.

Archiving: This enables you to make separate pages of your post, by default this feature is on.

Site feed: You can edit your blog feeds and can redirect it to feedburner from here.

Open ID: You can see your open ID user name and password here.

Permissions: If you want to setup multiple authors to a blog you can do this from this tab.

Using layout tab from blogger Dashboard.

Blogger Layout Tab

Layout tab is also important in blogger platform. It helps you to access and change your blog layout and HTML codes. You can also change your template from here.

Page Elements: You can change your blog layout from this sub tab and can change the position of gadgets and widgets from here. You can also add new widgets by this tab.

Edit HTML: If you want to see and change your HTML codes, you should use this function.

Pick New Template: You can change you template by this function.

Note: After any change you must click on save button to save the changes that you have made.

Monetize tab from blogger dashboard – Make money with your blog.

I think every one want to make money with his blog, thankfully blogger is owned by Google and it has a money making program called Adsense, this enables every blogger to make money with his blog very easily.

Setup Adsense: This helps you to make money from adsense program, but you have to sign up for first time.

Adsense for Feeds: If you want to publish Adsense ads in your blog feeds so, this is the right feature.

Amazon Associates: This is a new feature that enables you to setup Amazon Affiliate program to your blog, your can earn commission on every sell by this feature.
